Verandahs
A verandah is the one you will use every weekend. Shade in summer, dry in winter, and a lot cheaper than an extension.
What we do.
We design and build verandahs to fit the house. Flat, gable, dutch gable or curved, freestanding or attached, with a Colorbond® sheet roof or insulated panel. Every one is measured on site and drawn before we build it.
Ask about insulated panel. It cuts the heat coming through in summer and takes the drumming out of rain on steel, so you can still hear each other underneath.

What's in the price.
Every one of these is written into the quote before we start, so there is nothing to argue about at the end.
- Measured and drawn to your house. Sized and pitched for the space and how you will use it.
- Insulated panel option. Cooler in summer, quieter in the rain, finished underneath.
- Builder's blanket under sheet. Most of the heat benefit at a lower cost if panel is not in the budget.
- Engineering certificate. Certified for SA wind loading.
- Council approval. Prepared and lodged for you.
- Colorbond® colour matching. Roof, gutter and trim matched to the house.
- Lighting and fan provision. Cable runs and mounting points set out where you want them.
- Gutters and stormwater. Runoff taken away, not dumped at the slab edge.
- Ready for blinds. Framed so Ziptrak® outdoor blinds can go on now or later.
Colour
The eight colours most Adelaide roofs end up in.
Colorbond® steel, made and tested for Australian weather. The same shades are available in UniCote® steel if you want the longer coastal warranty. Tap a swatch to see it on a roof profile.
Corrugated profile
All eight are available across our verandah range, and the full Colorbond® palette has 22. Colours look different on a phone, so we bring real samples to the quote and hold them against your bricks.
What's on the steel matters more than the colour.
Every sheet looks the same on the truck. The difference between a roof that still looks new in twenty years and one that is chalking after six is the coating, and that is decided before the steel is ordered.
We can supply your verandah roof in UniCote®, an Australian pre-painted steel with two grades chosen by how close you are to the sea. Both are tested to the Australian standard for pre-painted steel (AS/NZS 2728).

Warranty up to 50 years
How the warranty works
There is no one number. The warranty is written for your address, based on how far you are from the water and what is going on the roof. We lodge it before the steel is ordered and it comes back within 48 hours, so you have it in hand before the sheets arrive. Like every steel warranty it needs the roof washed down now and then. We will tell you how often.
Colours
UniCote® has 21 standard colours plus three matt finishes, and a larger range if you want something different. Same rule as always: we bring samples, you hold them against the house.

We come and look
Someone gets up on the roof or into the space and photographs what is there. You see the photos. No sales pitch.

You get a fixed price in writing
For carports and verandahs we draw it in CAD and show you a 3D picture. Every job gets a written quote with the scope and inclusions spelled out.

We handle approvals and book a date
Where council approval or engineering is needed, we prepare and lodge it. Then we book a start date and tell you what to expect each day.

Our own crew does the work
Licensed trades, on site when we said, working to the quoted scope. If something unexpected turns up we stop and speak to you first.

We walk it with you and hand over the warranty
You inspect the job with us. We sweep the driveway for screws. You get the materials and workmanship warranties in writing.
